Ford Evos Concept new "Face of Ford"
Sep 14, 2011, 3:06 GMT
Frankfurt - Ford is preparing the end of the Kinetic design era with its new Ford Evos Concept at the Frankfurt Motor Show showing how the future design and technological trend of the car maker is going.
The Evos reveals short overhangs and more compact proportions, measuring 4.5 metres in length with a width of 1.97 metres and a height of 1.36 metres.
From the exterior the design makes the car look like a two-door Fastback but it is in reality a four-door with gull wing doors linked at the front to the centre of the roof and bonnet. To the rear the doors stretch all the way to the tail-lights. With all four doors open the car reveals a spacious interior with the complete absence of B-pillars.
Ford states that the Evos itself will never make production but that elements of the design such as the trapezoidal grille will become the 'Face of Ford' and appear on all the brand's future car designs.
