Milan - Just one month prior to the Frankfurt Motor Show, Ferrari has revealed the first pictures of its new 458 Spider hardtop model, featuring an aluminium roof which folds back into the rear of the vehicle in 14 seconds.
An adjustable electric wind stop enables normal conversation in the cabin, even at speeds of over 200 kilometres per hour (km/h), according to the carmaker.
The top speed is listed at 320 km/h, with the spurt from zero to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds. Fuel consumption is listed at 11.8 litres per 100 kilometres.
Ferrari has not revealed the pricing, but it is expected to be in the 200,000 euro (290,000 dollars) range.
