Aug 24, 2011, 3:06 GMT
Frankfurt - Rimac Automobili from Croatia is planning to unveil at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September what it calls the fastest electric super car in the world.
The Concept One is powered by four electric engines - two on each axle - which together provide an output of 1,088 horsepower and a top speed of 305 km/h. The range is listed at 600 kilometres.
Power is supplied by battery packs positioned at the front, rear and behind the passengers. The four electric motors are electronically regulated with each other providing an intelligent four-wheel drive system that provides additional traction in cornering.
Most other details including the exterior design remain under wraps until the show opens.
