New BMW 6 Series Coupe hits the road

Munich - BMW is launching the third generation of its top class coupe, the BMW 6 Series, adding more space, comfort and equipment features.
The body is some 75 millimetres longer and 39 millimetres wider than the predecessor model, giving enhanced seating comfort to the rear passengers and providing more luggage space.
With the market introduction come three engine variants - the BMW 650i Coupe with eight-cylinders and an output of 300 kW/407 hp, the BMW 640i Coupe with a six-cylinder in-line petrol engine 235 kW/320 hp and the BMW 640d Coupe in-line diesel with an output of 230 kW/313 hp.
All engine variants are combined with an eight-speed Sport automatic transmission as standard equipment and EfficientDynamics fuel-saving equipment such as the auto start-stop function.
Adaptive LED Headlights for low and high beams include cornering function, fog lamps and rear lights also implemented with LED technology.
Featured also is the latest generation of BMW Head-Up Display with high-definition, full-colour-spectrum graphics, Active Cruise Control with Stop & Go function, lane change warning, lane departure warning, rear-view camera, Surround View, Speed Limit Info, Night Vision and Parking Assistant.
Interior equipment options include comfort and sports seats, active seats, seat ventilation, exclusive Nappa leather, ceramic applications, and a newly developed, model-specific Bang & Olufsen high-end surround sound system.
