BMW mulling plans for 4 Series line-up

Stuttgart, Germany - BMW is apparently planning to introduce a new 4 series line-up with a coupe-like roofline to compete against the Audi A5 Sportback, according to a report in Germany's Autobild newspaper.
The 4 Series would be more upscale than the 3 Series, with a coupe lined up for 2013 and a convertible for the year 2014.
The next generation 3 Series is expected to celebrate its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
However, BMW is apparently also mulling plans for a 2-Series model to succeed the current 1-Series coupe and convertible models, the report said.
