...Hybrids have been produced for the last ten years. Toyota can produce a hybrid on ANY product they make. This is just another veiled auto handout, with No guarantee it will actually go to hybrid development.
We must go beyond hybrid towards an all electric car. It is time for new upstart companies to take the reigns.
Not much point to electric cars if they're charged up with electricity generated from burning fossil fuels. In that event they're more of a problem than a solution. Additionally, they tend to be slow, time consuming to recharge, and short ranged. Not much use in a country the size of yours!
