Tokyo - Toyota-Lexus presents at the Tokyo Motor Show a new crossover concept to demonstrate that Sports Utility Vehicles (SUVs) need not be fuel-guzzling road tanks.
Called the LF-Xh the vehicle is fitted with a petrol engine in combination with an electric motor that continuously supplies all four wheels with power. Details of the fuel consumption have, however, not been released by the manufacturer.
Measuring 4.8 metres in length with a width of 1.9 metres and a height of 1.65 metres, the vehicle falls into the category of big SUVs with plenty of interior space.
From the exterior the LF-Xh appears more angular, emphasized by headlights curving toward the fenders, protruding over sporty alloy wheels.
The tail-lights of the LF-Xh slant toward the centre while the roof sports a full-length panoramic sunroof.
