Ruesselsheim, Germany - Opel plans to offer a special low- consumption model in every model range as part of a new eco-strategy, according to a recent announcement.
The General Motors subsidiary said the start would be made with the Opel Corsa 1.3-litre fitted with a CDTI ecoFLEX motor that will be presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
The Corsa ecoFLEX has an emission of only 119 grammes of carbon dioxide per kilometre with an average fuel consumption of 4.5 litres per 100 kilometres.
The car will be available in German showrooms next year, the company said.
