Los Angeles - The Italian design studio Giugiaro has given the Ford Mustang a new look to be presented as a concept car at the Los Angeles Motor Show.
Fabrizio Giugiaro based his design closely on the original muscle- car, but gave it a more compact look.
The designer added 30 mm to the front, gradually expanding the width by 80 mm toward the rear.
A single curved glass panel bridges the windshield and rear window. The panel is made from a special type of crystal that filters out 100 per cent of UVA rays.
The doors are hinged at the base of the upright A-pillar and open vertically at the touch of a button.
The interior has also been restyled featuring an instrument panel sweeping the width of the car. Circular gauges project from behind the steering wheel with the headrests decorated with the horse logo.
Ford boosted the 4.6 litre V8 300 hp engine in the production Mustang GT by adding an intercooled twin-screw supercharger bringing the powertrain to an estimated 500 hp.
Other improvements are fuel injectors from the Ford GT. Engine air intake is increased with a larger 95 mm mass air meter and a conical air filter. Exhaust performance is also enhanced with Ford Racing mufflers and an X-pipe.

Ford has to build that car!! I saw pics of it , and it blew my mind. If Ford wants a true, 'corvette killer', thats the car they need.
