Kidman, Penn and Annan Attend Interpreter Premiere at Tribeca

Sean Penn and Nicole Kidman star in ‘The Interpreter,’ which opened the Tribeca Film Festival today

The Fourth Annual Tribeca Film Festival opened today with the premiere of The Interpreter.

Over the next 12 days, more than 250 films will be shown, thousands will take to the streets of Tribeca for the annual Family Festival Street Fair, and various other special events.

Nicole Kidman and Sean Penn, who both star in the thriller, attended the premiere. Also present was Kofi Annan, Secretary-General of the United Nations, where the film is largely set.

Other stars attending on the night were Elle MacPherson, Ellen Barkin and Jack Nicholson.
