Kevin Bacon boards Steve Carell film

Kevin Bacon has joined the cast of Warner Bros.’ untitled Steve Carell film, which is being directed by John Requa and Glenn Ficarra.

The story centers on Carell’s character who tries to manage his relationship with his children as his marriage to Julianne Moore falls apart.

Emma Stone has been cast as Carell’s daughter while Ryan Gosling will play Carell’s womanizing best friend.

Bacon will play a co-worker of Moore’s, who begins an affair with her.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Dan Fogelman wrote the script.

Carell is producing through his Carousel Productions company with Denise Di Novi.

The movie begins shooting later this month.

Bacon recently wrapped “Elephant White” for director Prachya Pinkaew.
