While her half sister Kim Kardashian, the (NSFW) amateur porn star now married to Kanye West who is stripping bare in attempts to break the Internet and give a big “F” you to the world per her sister Khloe, Kendall Jenner, the 19-year-old who briefly dated One Direction singer Harry Styles, has worked steadily in high fashion and is emerging as the family’s true star and talent.
Jenner is now the face of Estee Lauder, a widely encompassing conglom brand (Lauder owns MAC Cosmetics, Bobbi Brown, La Mer, Tom Ford, Clinique, Origins, and Bumble & Bumble). It appears that Lauder’s core brand, Estee Lauder, is desperately trying to woo a younger customer base than their traditionally older client who lives for the annual Estee Lauder Holiday Blockbuster Set and was perhaps raised on Aliage, Azuree, Private Collection, Cinnabar or the signature scent Youth Dew, the company’s original fragrance that Estee herself used to hawk relentlessly with samples of her creams until her company got their foot in the doors of every mid-range retailer across the USA.
Lauder had brought a more sophisticated line, Lauder Prescriptives, to market in 1977-78, but the line languished in retailers and eventually moved online with devotees who responded to the breakthrough expansive foundation line and Daily Dose serum that morphed into their bestselling Line Preventor serum.
Kendall has been signed as the face of cosmetics giant Estee Lauder, and declared via social media: “I am super excited to announce that I am the new face of Estee Lauder.
The luxury make-up company have selected the teen to represent them all over the world.
Kendall has previously strutted the catwalks for Tommy Hilfiger, Marc Jacobs and Balmain.
It’s also rumored she’ll be modeling for mass market lingerie brand Victoria’s Secret.
