John C. Reilly Joins Cast of A Streetcar Named Desire

New York: Playbill Online has learned that Academy Award nominated actor, John C. Reilly will star in the upcoming revival of A Streetcar named Desire as Stanley Kowalski. Reilly is a Broadway veteran who was Tony nominated for his double duty in True West opposite Philip Seymour Hoffman. He will star opposite Natasha Richardson.

Edward Hall will direct the play set to open April 24, 2005 at Studio 54 and running until June 19th. The play follows the woes of a faded Southern, Blanche DuBois, and her road to madness aided by her brother-in-law, Stanley Kowlaski.

The Roundabout has not officially announced the casting.
