While the rest of the world appears to be going on witch hunts for Jews in their countries, with reports of vandalism, riots, defaced and destroyed Synagogues and Jewish businesses in Europe and South America, America seems to be the last place where Jews are finding people willing to stand up and call out biased news reporting from all the mainstream media outlets like the BBC and even CNN.
As thousands of demonstrators gathered over the past several days in Paris, Germany, Vienna, Amsterdam and other European cities in support for Palestinians in Gaza, where Israel has launched a 14-day offensive aimed at stopping rocket fire and closing tunnels used to infiltrate fighters into Israel, the demonstrations have ramped up to more violent and ugly expressions of antisemitism. In addition to the large number of Palestinian casualties, the conflict has also resulted in the deaths of 20 Israelis, almost all of them soldiers.
French Jewish leaders are warning the world on the actions of their radical pro-Palestinian protesters who are targeting Jewish shops, lighting smoke bombs, and throwing stones and bottles at riot police. So far eight synagogues in France have been targeted in the past week, and the violence and actions continue.
Here in the USA, comedian Joan Rivers was stopped at LAX Thursday afternoon by Harvey Levin’s TMZ reporters and she let them have it with her outrage over Hamas and how they use civilians as shields.
Last week, Howard Stern of SiriusXM also sounded off on the same subject when a caller tried to engage him in an on-air argument over Israel for the war with Hamas last week.
Stern told him to “F*** off!” and then launched into an impassioned defense of Israel, saying “If you’re anti-Israel, then you’re anti-America” and arguing that Israel is “the only friend we have who’s willing to fight and stand up for what’s right.”
Stern added, …”Jews get enough sh*t all over the world. They get sh*t on all the time. Jews are the indigenous people of that area. I’m sick of the bullsh*t. And the Arabs don’t even want those Palestinians, otherwise they’d let them matriculate into their country.”
Stern added, “If you’re anti-Israel, then you’re anti-America. It’s the only democracy over there, it’s the only friend we have who’s willing to fight and stand up for what’s right and added that Pink Floyd’s anti-Israel Roger Waters, who he said “ought to shut his mouth too.”
Stern said, “People forget history. Jews were being executed and killed, and they went over to Israel, this little sh*thole, which was a desert—it had nothing going on.”
Stern noted that the Palestinians’ real problem was their choices: “They elected terrorists to run their country.”
