Despite the bad weather on the east coast chilling moviegoer’s enthusiasm Ice Cube’s “Are We There Yet?” still managed to bring in $18.5 million at the US box office as it topped the weekend chart.
“Coach Carter,” which topped last week’s chart, came in second place with $11 million while five-week veteran “Meet the Fockers” pulled in a respectable 10 million, taking its total to over $247 million. “Assault on Precinct 13″ opened in sixth place with a moderate $7 million, meantime Fox’s “Elektra” slipped even further coming in at ten with $3.8 million, a drop of over 70% since last week.
