Hilary Swank to take on ‘Strangers’

Paramount released in 2004 a screen adaptation of Patrice Leconte’s ‘Intimate Strangers.’ With first right of refusal remake rights on the line, Paramount Pictures has decided to move picture into development by assigning Kelly Fremon to write script and Hilary Swank to star.

Pic is the story of a woman who believes she is going to visit a shrink but really ends up bouncing her problems off of an accountant.

Swank recently starred in ‘Freedom Writers’ and is in theaters this week with the WB’s horror-thriller ‘The Reaping.’
