German electronic artist Ulrich Schnauss’ first gig in 18 months

Acclaimed German electronic artist Ulrich Schnauss will play his first London show in 18 months on October 21st.

Berlin based Schnauss is an outstanding electronic composer who draws on his love of UK guitar bands to make his music. Influenced by the likes of Cocteau Twins, My Bloody Valentine and Slowdive, his favourite band is Chapterhouse. His records (released on City Center Offices/Domino) are a wash of lush instrumentation, powerfully emotional and stunning when performed live. Ulrich has a formidable reputation grown by word-of-mouth, and has remixed the likes of Longview, Depeche Mode, Rachel Goswell, Mojave 3 and Slowdive. For the AC30 show Ulrich will be joined on stage by Judith Beck on vocals and guitars.

Support comes from another “shoegaze” influenced German band Malory, who play their debut UK show, and are considered by Ulrich to be the best band in Germany at the moment. We also have the excellent Norwich four-piece Sennen who’s mini-album Widows is out October 24th, and opening the show will be London band Sleepless who will shortly be recording their debut record for the AC30 label.
