'Guitar Hero 5' to support Xbox Avatars

Activision today announced a new feature for Guitar Hero 5, scheduled for release September 1, that's sure to get people excited.

Activision today announced a new feature for Guitar Hero 5, scheduled for release September 1, that's sure to get people excited. At launch, players will be able to import their Xbox 360 Avatars as playable characters and rock out to the game's 85-song set list.

Xbox Avatars will also get a Guitar Hero makeover in the game’s Create-A-Rocker mode, where players can further customize their Avatars with exclusive Guitar Hero clothing and accessories.

Guitar Hero 5's set list includes tons of classic and current rock hits from artists such as The Rolling Stones, The White Stripes, Kings of Leon, Tom Petty, Bob Dylan and Vampire Weekend.
