Best Buy has partnered with MTV Games and Hamonix to give fans pre-ordering Disturbed\'s new album two free tracks for Rock Band on Xbox LIVE.
Indestructible, the forthcoming album from Disturbed, is now available for pre-order at BestBuy.com; scheduled released by Reprise Records on June 3rd, 2008.
To celebrate, Best Buy has partnered with MTV Games and Hamonix to give fans pre-ordering the album at BestBuy.com/disturbed two free Disturbed tracks from “Indestructible” for Rock Band from Xbox LIVE: “Indestructible” and “Inside the Fire.” The latter is the band’s sixth Number One single at Active Rock, and the band’s fastest-rising chart-topper to date. Disturbed will also be featured as Xbox LIVE’s “Artist of the Month” for June.
“We believe fans of Disturbed will be excited about the exclusive access to the new album and bonus Rock Band tracks for Xbox 360,” said Jennifer Schaidler, vice president of music for Best Buy. “This special offer is one of many unique ways that Best Buy brings music fans and gamers the latest and coolest entertainment experiences.”
“We’re very excited to be working with Disturbed to bring their music to Rock Band,” stated Paul DeGooyer, SVP Electronic Games and Music, MTV. “Our partnership with Best Buy, Microsoft and Reprise has created a very cool way to introduce the new album, while delivering a fantasic value to fans of Disturbed and Rock Band alike.”
"As we grow and evolve our presence in the music space, Xbox LIVE is excited to work with publishing and retail partners to connect people with the music they love," Xbox LIVE Director of Marketing Bill Nielson explains. “Giving our Xbox LIVE members this type of great content from partners like Best Buy is why our community has more than 10 million members worldwide.”
Disturbed, which is singer David Draiman, guitar player Dan Donegan, drummer Mike Wengren and bass player John Moyer, has sold a collective 10 million copies worldwide of their three albums — 2000’s RIAA-certified triple-platinum The Sickness, 2002’s album chart-topper Believe, and their second consecutive Number One Ten Thousand Fists — since forming in Chicago in 1996. The band is currently on tour leading up to the album release, and this summer will co-headline the Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival.
