Commanders: Attack of the Genos arrives as an immersive turn-based strategy game boasting 1930’s art deco aesthetics and an “ironic storyline” that sees players tasked with devising “a masterful tactical battle strategy to both cripple the enemy and defend their territory from Genos,” which is a genetically-modified super race.
The game offers up a 15-mission core campaign, a wide-ranging arsenal of weaponry, 15 diverse playable units, 2 difficulty levels, 2 unique endings, and also the ability to challenge or team up with three friends in localised or Xbox Live battles.
Classic arcade title Discs of Tron sees players attempting to defeat the evil Sark in an electronic battleground by using the iconic and deadly disc (Frisbee) weapon immortalised in the Hollywood movie. In order to succeed, players must survive 12 levels of gameplay through a single-player campaign, or they can choose to face off in multiplayer mode via Xbox Live.
To bolster the Xbox Live Arcade arrival of Discs of Tron, Disney Studios is also unleashing related downloadable content, which will include a game theme and gamer picture pack containing images of heroic Tron, a red soldier, and the game’s disc platforms.
Both Commanders: Attack of the Genos (800 Microsoft Points) and Discs of Tron (400 Microsoft Points) launch tomorrow (February 13) at 9.00am.
