D3 Publisher of America has today announced that award-winning Hollywood actor Michael Rosenbaum is to lend his considerable vocal talents to core protagonist Hayden Tenno in upcoming sci-fi action extravaganza Dark Sector .

Rosenbaum is perhaps best know for his tormented performances as the dysfunctional (and distinctly bald headed) Lex Luthor on hit American television show ‘Smallville ,’ which charts the early years in the life of Superman.
"We are thrilled to work with Mr. Rosenbaum on Dark Sector," commented Peter Andrew, VP of product development for D3 . "His experience in portraying tormented characters on-screen translates incredibly well to the tortured character of Hayden Tenno in Dark Sector, a true anti-hero who makes no excuses for his actions. The combination of his voice talent and the compelling storyline of Dark Sector will offer a truly immersive experience for players."
Developed by Digital Extremes (Pariah, Unreal Tournament), Dark Sector is scheduled to arrive in the spring on Xbox 360 and PlayStation, and is expected to thrust the player into the role of Hayden Tenno, "an elite black-ops agent sent on a dangerous mission into a decaying Eastern European city that hides a deadly Cold War secret."
Attacked by an unknown enemy, Tenno inexplicably finds himself "infected" with powerful inhuman abilities, which he must nurture progressively in order to survive through a "dark, gritty experience packed with fast action, incredible superpowers and an engaging story."
Other productions that have seen Rosenbaum flexing his acting muscles include Cursed (2005), Bringing Down the House (2003), Poolhall Junkies (2002), Sorority Boys (2002), Sweet November (2001), Urban Legend (1998) and Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil (1997).
Early gameplay and trailer clips for Dark Sector reveal a third-person (over the shoulder) action title positively oozing lashings of blood and gore in its near-relentless action. Unsurprisingly, Dark Sector carries an ‘M for Mature’ ESRB rating.
