Of course they are going to deny the MSG 4 story, even if it is going multiplatform. It ensures good sales on the PS3, and less strained relationship with Sony. After it has been released on the PS3, then they can annnouce the xbox 360 version. Maybe a month after, at which point they will have achieved about 50% of their projected sales on the PS3. It a strategy which has been used by other companies.

What other companies? I'm pretty sure they mean this IS official. And MGS4 is staying exclusive to Sony's console.

xbox 360 and PS3 (well i dont know about PS3) can handle it. My laptop can run it at full glory....but on 1024x768 resolution. 360 should be able to do this in 720p. In addition the shaders on the 360 are shader model 3+ so it can emulate some of the direct x 10 shaders (unfortunately the PS3 cant its only shader model 3).

they should not underestimate the unified shader architecture that the xbox has. But i know theres no way they can get that running on it at 1080p unless theres some major scale down of graphics.

It's a myth that the 360 'can't handle' crysis, seeing as it's specs are more powerful than the minumum system required to run Crysis on PC, it's just a marketing ploy. Yes the 360 doesn't handle full DX10, and SOME effects would have to be scaled back, but seeing as the 360 uses a directx version that is above 9 and can do some 10 features, it could easily handle the vast majority of crysis, especially at only 720p.

all of you are full of shit, the fact is that when crysis is run on pc, its actuaallly has a 1gig of ram, and a hardrive and streams 10gb! of the game on a pc, now, compared to a 360 which is a piece of trash to a ps3 and ps3 is trash to pc,

what would be be of drawback of playing crysis on 360

800X600 res is maximum
Very Weak Rendering..i mean terribly rendered
shaders down
showing down
polygon count down
lighting down like crazy
bad water effects
reduce ai!
stream about 20 gb(wich is not possible, since 360 has about 512 mg of physical, and 20 more for virtual! and remember virtual memory is slow because you read directly off drive!~

= boring game
...........

the game would look more like halo 3
Halo 3 is trash! well its ok, but not worth all the hype

give up you cheap bastard crysis will never be on a console until the next next-gen console!

Does nobody remember MGS2? the big ol' playstation 2 incredible exclusive... then a year later xbox got the expanded version?.. hmm obviously not...

Then again... MGS3 was passed over completely... either way i'm not paying the price of a PS3 just for one good exclusive title..

OK guys, I'm sorry, I retract everything I said the other week except that PC is the more powerful platform for gaming (cos of the upgradability)

I wasn't even correct with my facts about Xbox, turns out after further research that 360 and PS3 aren't as far apart power wise as I'd thought. The res on 360 is capable of full HD, I'd just assumed otherwise cos i hold petty grudges between consoles.

I'm sorry and I hope I haven't offended anyone with the things I've said.

(you might detect a certain amount of weaknes in my tone of script, my PS3 broke after the slot loader shifted a mere 2mm and I managed to get 2 games jammed inside, a major design flaw, that and I bought a 360 elite to cheer myself up)

I can't wait for them to port this game on Xbox 360, they said far cry would suck but it actually turned out better in the end (not so much visually) but the new abilitis and 'instincts' storyline gave it that extra edge and made it something more than just Goldeneye in the Jungle.. I love a good map editor

XT fo' Life
