This is definetly a step backwards for the psp. I mean..come on..its opening mechanism is like a cell phone and the directional/square, circle etc. are similar to that of a gameboy sp. Not to mention the 16gb built in with NO usb..lame. So is it impossible to play your old games? way to go sony

i agree with carl... glad i have a two 2000 series and one 1000. and 16 gig isnt much for internal memory. one of my 2000 editions has 64 gb. and it still looks normal until you open the umd door. who needs a umd drive when all of your psp games can be put on memory cards

I'm gonna get it i like to listen to music so i want something small. and the umd loading noise gets annoying.... i don't really like the slide up and the anolog with take some getting used too. and finally there will be a actual software for the psp instead of having to monkey with the folders themselves.

In my opinion, this is a test by Sony for their PSN Network, and whether or not people will actually buy/download their games online. Eventually, this is how all game consoles will operate. Once bandwidth/digital delivery and home broadband prices drop, it will be more viable. Give it 5-10 years -- physical media will become extinct.

most people nowadays have some form of internet. technology advances everyday. a tip, deal with it & catch up with the times. that's like someone complaining about hd movies on demand who doesn't have a t.v. im actually attracted to the new model...id buy it!

This is great. I like the new design and everything, I would buy it. Thing is I donīt have wireless internet but that wonīt matter right, Oh wait it will. I wont be able to do anything without it. That was a dumb move by sony. At least allow usb ports then at least I could have music & etc...
