'Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game' launches on PS3

Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game is now available on PlayStation Network for the PS3.

Ubisoft today announced that Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game is now available on PlayStation Network for the PS3.

The game is based on Bryan Lee O’Malley’s award-winning graphic novel series and the upcoming film directed by Edgar Wright, scheduled for release in theaters August 13, 2010.

The game follows Scott Pilgrim’s quest to date Ramona Flowers by defeating her seven evil exes. It launches first on the PlayStation Network and on Xbox LIVE Arcade on August 25, 2010.

Gameplay features a four-player co-op mode in which players fight through hordes of hipsters, emos, paparazzi and aliens. The 8-bit retro-gaming animations were created by the world-famous Pixel Artist Paul Robertson. The game also features a soundtrack by Anamanaguchi.
