Today Ubisoft announces that Tom Clancy's HAWX for the Xbox 360 and PLAYSTATION 3 has shipped and will be hitting retail shelves this week.
The setting for Tom Clancy's HAWX is 2012 where more and more nations have become increasingly dependent on Private Military Firms (PMFs), elite mercenaries with no regard for the law. The Reykjavik Accords further legitimize their existence by authorizing their right to serve in every aspect of military operations.
Tom Clancy's HAWX features:
ENHANCED REALITY SYSTEM (E.R.S.) is in-game technology that helps turn novice aviators into pros. The Enhanced Reality System is the backbone of your flight experience: radars and incoming missile detection, damage control system, tactical map and information relay, and weapons trajectory control. E.R.S. also allows you to issue direct orders to your squadron.
DUAL GAMEPLAY: Don't want to jump into full-blown action right off the bat? Turn on the assistance mode and take full advantage of your E.R.S. as you get used to piloting the various planes. Once you feel comfortable, turn off assistance mode and take full control of your aircraft, feeling the speed rush as you fly past the enemy at blazing speeds, narrowly avoiding disaster.
UNIQUE MULTIPLAYER: For the first time ever in the Air Combat genre, play through the entire solo campaign in 4-player JUMP IN/JUMP OUT co-op mode. Player vs. Player mode allows you to challenge your friends in 8-player Team Deathmatch.
REALISM AND AUTHENTICITY: Pilot over fifty of the world's most famous aircrafts. Dogfight over real U.S. and international cities and landscapes. Most impressive is the fact that Tom Clancy's HAWX utilizes the most advanced satellite mapping technology commercially available.
