The next chapter of Ubisoft’s white-knuckle Rainbow Six shooter series is almost upon us, and expectant fans waiting to complete the bullet-strewn narrative that blasted its way through Rainbow Six Vegas only have a handful of weeks remaining before they’re able to rejoin the Rainbow team and pick up where the first game’s cliff hanger ending left of.

Promising yet more immersive first-person action, tactical deployments, strategic attacks, hostage situations, whispered put downs, huge explosions, authentic weaponry, and a return to the world’s most gaudy city, Rainbow Six Vegas 2 should offer up all the trademark qualities Ubisoft’s long-serving series has always delivered.
That being said, the game’s scheduled March 18 arrival is still quite some way off for those eager to once again dispatch naughty terrorists while stalking their way up the Vegas Strip, so here’s a brand new selection of tantalising screenshots to help build anticipation.
Note the screen showing Rainbow dealing with enemies while attending a Major League Gaming event -- clearly someone wasn't happy with the conduct of the International Terrorist Team during a session of Counter Strike.
Expect a wealth of trailer clips and gameplay snippets to flood the Net in the next few weeks as Ubisoft moves to squeeze the retail ramp-up for all its worth.
Rainbow Six Vegas 2 will be released on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Games for Windows.
