New PlayStation casino tower to open in Las Vegas?
While renowned hardware modifier Ben Heck has lavished considerable love on Microsoft’s Xbox 360 console, it would appear that there’s scant little affection being shown by mod community towards the Sony PlayStation 3.
Until now, that is.
Commissioned by third-party publisher and developer Ubisoft for a special Rainbow Six Vegas promotion, this towering panorama of cityscape modification sees the glitzy PlayStation 3 slipping into the flamboyant and luxurious surroundings of Las Vegas as though it were its second home.
Depicted as a casino tower on the famed Vegas Strip (itself a bullet-riddled gameplay section of the original Rainbow Six Vegas), the bright and dazzling PlayStation 3 appears perfectly suited in a design sense for the vulgar opulence of America’s haven of gambling and sin.

Decked out in colourful LEDs, the sparkly console tower’s surroundings are complemented by various other elements readily found in Vegas, which include the mini versions of France’s Eiffel Tower, Egypt’s Pyramids, a miniscule static population, and even a water fountain.
Sadly, however, the city’s considerable allocation of street-walking women of loose moral virtue have seemingly been forgotten. Now that would have been attention to detail.
The Rainbow Six Vegas mod was constructed by German casemodder ‘Butterkneter.’
We hereby salute his sterling efforts… although Ben Heck’s title as the world’s most inventive and capable modder remains intact.
