The feverish build up to the long-awaited release of RockStar Games’ Grand Theft Auto IV continues today with the unveiling of a trio of fresh screenshots, courtesy of... American retail giant Best Buy.
Appearing on the retailer’s official Grand Theft Auto IV product page, two of the fresh screens show Niko, Liberty City’s newest antihero, looking somewhat ominous while clearly engaged in the business of climbing the criminal ladder, while the third involves scrapping cars and looks as though it would be more at home in the Burnout or Need for Speed series.
Resulting fan whisperings since the emergence of the new screenies notes that similar ‘retailer-only’ game media was released in 2004 prior to the arrival of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, which could leave Best Buy’s images as a prelude to other retail scoops from the likes of Wal-Mart, GameStop, and others.
Grand Theft Auto IV will receive a simultaneous retail release across the world on April 29 for both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
Feast!

This is the best rockstar can do with the graphics? this looks like crap, looks like a typical xbox 360 game!
Johnson,
The game is suppose to look like that. It's the effect Rockstar decided to use. It gives the game a feeling. BTW you don't have to buy it.
I think it looks pretty cool, grungy and bad ya know, I'm sure it looks pretty cool when playing.
