Ok, it seems to me that all the people that are calling the 360 owners 'fanboys' and complaining that a good game might be getting a port to a different system are the real 'fanboys' here. You're either trying or inadvertently being ironic.Slamming other system owners only makes you look worse. I played MGS1 way back in the day, now, I chose a cheaper console to buy instead of shelling out more money for essentially the same system. What is the big deal if people want a game to come to a system they actually own? I wish there would be a universal console to end all this whiny quarreling.

I will admit, I too had hoped of a 360 port.. but just as quickly as i thought of that dream i threw it out the window with my other dreams (such as being able to fly and have laser vision) unlike other 'fanboys'. And i will agree that alot of these people complaining are just simply jealous of the PS3 exclusiveness, and they just leave it at that, not to mention the PS3 owners that rub it in their faces (MGS4 is a valid bragging right but it's not nice to tease the less fortunate).
All of that aside, I'm on the PS3 owner's side (even though i only own a 360). I totally respect the loyalty of konami to sony for the MGS series seeing as i was a fan of it from the first installment on the first playstion (and before that with the origional Metal Gear series on the NES. Something that the current generation of gamers would have no idea about). And simply put, the 360 just couldnt handle MGS4 with it's current hard-ware (a single blu-ray disc is equal to like 5 HDDVD discs. and yup i just put down my own console) but that's something i wont cry over. the rest of you fanboys are just gonna have to get a straw and suck it up.
Good Thing I Am From That The Lucky Few That Owns An X360, A PC And Lately I Got A Gift A PS3 But Until Before I Got The PS3 I Was So Obsessed About Knowing If MGS4 Is Gonna Be Released For The X360 And To Be Frank Here Even If It Did(Which Is Possible But Not Likely To Happen) It's Gonna Be Old News I Mean I Consider A Game Launced 3 Months Ago To Be An Old Game While In MGS4 Case It's Been Around A Year Now And If They Announce It It's Gonna Take 8 Months Min Before The Release(Thats If Thet Announce It Now) By Then We Will Be In The Next Gen Gaming Who Will Think About 2 Year Old Game Even If It's As Good As MGS4.

yeah.... what i don't understand is why anybody even cares if 360 gets MGS4 or not, some of you people need a new hobbie lol or a girlfriend and leave that poor sock alone :-/...... anywho the bottom line is why do people have so much pride for a video game and maby as im sure many of your therapist's agree that you should just LET IT GO.
It's more wishful thinking than anything else, I dont understand why everyone just seems to have the bash every other system syndrome. You play what you enjoy, personally I dont have a PS3 cause I dont have the money and not many of the games appeal to me, and I see it as a cost-benefit balance, I dont really want to shell out for a system which has a handful of games I really want to play. And by that I'm not saying it has no good games, so don't even start on that.
Also, it wouldn't be surprising if there was some form of port, it's already happened with Twin Snakes but seriously I'm not holding my breath. And as for 360 gamers not caring about the end of Snake's saga, I'm sorry but thats bs in my opinion, I've played the rest of the MGS games but I dont own a PS3, I'd love to see the end of the saga personally and I consider myself a 360 gamer though I'm far from a fanboy, the system isn't great but it does it's job, quit generalising about people and being elitist. It's a game it doesn't matter whether people appreciate the end of the story fully, if they derive enjoyment from it then it's deserving.
If MGS4 came out on 360 I'd buy it, but it's not the end of the world if it doesn't, after all it's only a video game. It'd be a great addition to the 360's library of games but again, I'm not holding my breath at all and it seems doubtful it will ever come out unless the 360 gets upgraded to blu-ray format in some bizarre twist of events.

(looked it up on xbox) and guess what if we dont get Metal Gear 4. say goodbye to Gears Of War 1&2, GTA Lost and Damned etc... you lot wont share you all can fuck off an stop your crying saying we want your game,but not willing to share any in return
Who cares? Metal gear is a great franchise, but the 360 has no shortage of great games. In fact, God of War and MG are really the only flagship titles selling PS3's. As such, I can understand the Sony fanboys absolute horror in the face if this rumor. Not to mention being constantly stuck in third place behind the Wii and 360 (in hardware and software sales). I for one am glad this rumor is cleared up. I wouldn't buy it for the 360 anyways (or Wii for that matter). I played MGS4 on my roomates PS3, several times and its a great game (the adult magazine drop was a cool touch). But I'd take Gears of War or COD4 over it in a heartbeat. Sneaking games aren't my bag. My opinion of course, go ahead, flame me starting.......now.

that's a real bummer, I would have liked to of seen MGS4 on the 360 and unlike most people that wanted it on the 360 I've actually played MGS1 and MGS2 (decided against MGS3 because I wanted a real sequel to 2) but don't want to buy a PS3 since they took backwards compatibility out of it which means I'd have to have both my PS2 and PS3 hooked up at the same time (since MGS2 is my favorite game) which I think is pointless. I think that every new system should have backwards compatibility out of respect for the older games that people still like to play from the previous generation (and I know I can't talk much considering what the 360 did in regards to backwards compatibility) so I'd either have to try to buy an older PS3 that has backwards compatibility or hope and pray for a 360 (this system would be cheaper by the way) release to even be able to play MGS4

Ok..first of all..this fanboy knows what you're talking about when you say 'loyal to the end'...Thats what the boss said...which means loyal to your purpose. Anyways, all I want to say is that MGS4 is such a good game, everyone should be able to play it....I hope there are some people who can apreciate not just the action in the game...but also it's story and meaning. I'd say about three quarters of mgs4 players have skiped all the scenes and codec convo. well thats just stupid. cause you're missing out on the best storyline in gaming history. Also...just gunna put something out there that most of you will probably disagree with me on...but I'm glad that raiden was the protagonist of mgs2...If you listen to the story between him and rose...well it's just so passionate. If gamers were to see and listen every to every scene and codec call...then they would learn a great deal about MGS
I'm pretty upset that MGS4 isn't appearing on the 360 but i have a bigger problem with the comment above. My reason for wanting a 360 release of MGS4 has nothing to do with making '360 sales go up, and PS3 sales go down.' I have been a huge fan of the metal gear solid franchise since the first game's release on the original playstation. To be more accurate, I have been a fan of the series since I bought a playstation and played the demo on the disc that came with the console. Over the years I have become extremely invested in the metal gear story line and to have the final chapter release exclusively on the only next gen console i dont own (and refuse to buy) kills me.
I believe 'loyalty to the end' is a poor choice of words since both MGS2 and 3 were both 'PS2 exclusives' that were later reworked with extra content then released on the xbox. Not to mention the MGS1 remake 'The Twin Snakes' for the gamecube. Why introduce an amazing series of games to multiple platforms, create a giant fanbase, then only release the final chapter on a single (albeit inferior) console? If anything Id guess they want to drive PS3 sales up but lets face it, one decent exclusive cant save the playstation 3. Sony has sold about 8 million less consoles than the 360 and hasn't even hit half the sales of the wii. (wii: 50mil, xbox360: 30mil, ps3: 22mil)
It really is to bad this game will not be released on the 360. I guess now all I can do is hold on to a small thread of hope that Konami will release an expanded version for the 360 in the future, similar to MGS2:Substance and MGS3: Subsistence.
