Some of you guys are retarded. Stop bashing one console over the other, and play some games. Since when has gaming turned into a flame-fest, with nerds screaming at each other about who has more cores in their processors and more shaders in their GPUs?
As far as I'm concerned, I'd love to see MGS4 on the 360, as it's the only console I own. I loved MGS2 and 3 on the PS2 and I'd love to finish the story off. But just in case I'm very skeptical about this, as I doubt it'll arrive on the shores of Microsoft's console. Why didn't MGS3 come to the XBOX? It's an exclusive, that's why. Then again - while not the best example - DMC4 came to the 360 as well.
As a gamer who mainly plays 360, this comes as a relief (that MGS4 will eventually come to Xbox) because the game looks pretty good and since the 360 and PS3 are pretty close together, in terms of technology, I do believe that they can fit the game on the system. I would never buy a PS3 because, if i did, it would only be for MGS4 since most games are multiplatform and I get those on 360 for the Achievements. Hopefully Konami smartens up and confirms the game for 360 in the near future
I'm a big Metal Gear fan since 1987. I have an Xbox 360 and I'm happy with it. I work lots of odd hours and I enjoy going online a playing against people all over. I've never played PS3, but from what I've been told by video game store associates that Xbox Live is more structured for online gaming than PS3. Anyways, I want to play MG4, but I'm not going to drop 500.00 to do so. Now that its not coming to 360, it doesn't phase me because I'm a grown ass man. I'll either rent the game and system from RentaCenter or hope I come across a crackhead who sells me a PS3 for $150-200. :)

Look people, it won't come our on the 360, simple reasons really;
1:Seeing as most of you can't count, 50GB is larger than 9GB
2:The reality synthesiser chip (RSX) is far superior to the ati one on the 360.
3:Its Kojima's last game, he isn't doing this for money, just to finish off the single greatest series ever, Metal Gear Solid, so 360 owners, be happy with your GOW (Which is awesome BTW) and Halo 3 (Which I hate) and be happy that your console is getting more exclusives in a shorter period of time. If you simple minds can't handle that, then try to find a good .50 Cal Revolver cause your probably suffering from Red Ring of Death syndrome :P
...im so gutted.I have lived with snake since mgs1. now i cant complete the story.My uncle will get it but i cant complete he game and watch all the cutscenes round his.I would but a ps3 JUST for this game.Goddamnit kojima if this doesnt come out for 360 i will commit suicide dedicated to mgs4. Do you have a problem with the users that want MGS4 on Xbox??? I have played all the MSG games and i really want MGS4 on xbox and im not saying because i want to 'stole' another exclusive to PS3 i really want to play it.

The game rocks. Now for the xbox owners that are beating a dead horse, its not gonna happen, ever. Not in a with a new name, not with at a later date, not on xbox 1,2, or any other xbox, its not coming to any microsoft system EVER! If you want to play it sell your xbox and all the microsoft crap with it, then buy your self a Playstation 3. Hell, MGS4 has a Playstation 3 and a Playstation Portable in the game its self, snake uses a sixshock PS3 controller to control the mark 2 and 3. There is a boss battle with reference to the Playstation 1 system, and the Playstation 3, during the installs it says 'Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots - Playstation 3 Exclusive'. Not only that but Hideo Kojima has said time and time again, that its a Playstation 3 Exclusive. MGS4 and MGO are staying on the Playstation 3, if you dont like it get a Playstation 3. AV81

they might just be saying 'guns of the patriots' wont be on 360. but thats not stoping them from changing the name. theyve changed the name on so many re-released MGS games. MGS2/Substance MGS3 snake eater/subsistance metal gear solid/MGS twin snakes. and all these re-releases are equip with bonus features and all kinds of new material its gotta be true. its all a marketing ploy.

yes i have a 360. i dont have a ps3. im annoyed i cant get Msg4 but at least im not living in denial that it will eventualy come on the 360. Kojima said its EXCLUSIVE TO PS3. Not, its exclusive to ps3 but we'll bring it on 360 anyway.
Quick question: If the MGS4 developers had a difficult time fitting all the stuff that did fit (and there was A LOT left on the cutting room floor) how would they even begin to make a port to a HD DVD that is 3 times smaller than a Blu Ray disc?
Also just to put this out there: You can't compare the PS3 to the Xbox because the PS3 isn't just a gaming system, it is a complete multimedia package. Where as you have to pay extra for every extra feature on the Xbox. Which brings me to my next point;

metal gear solid 2: substance was renamed to that from metal gear solid: sons of liberty and then released on the original xbox as well as the PC. Saying that there are currently no plans to bring metal gear solid 4: guns of the patriots to the system answers nothing as they will (if they do release a 360) version rebrand it with a different name like subsidence or something. The comment is therefore cryptic and unrevealing as ever. I believe that this expansion pack idea will happen in a years time. This isn't fanboy talk, it's theories based on evidence from konami's past
Crist, people will live in there own little world, seeing and hearing what they want even if it was burning to the ground around them. Its not happening, its not going to be on any microsoft system, EVER. The xbox version of MGS2 tanked horribly, the PS2 version kicked ass. MGS3 subsistence stayed on the PS2, so to say that because MGS2 did that MGS4 will its a weak argument at best. MGS4 and any other incarnationis going to remain a PS3 exclusive. Plus xbox could never handle the game, there would be a mass spike in returns of shited out xbox2s, but thats what you get for buying a POS xbox2, burn the xbox2 or you could just leave it on for more than 30 minutes, you will get the same results. THEN GO BUY A PS3 IF YOU REALLY WANT TO PLAY MGS4.

To Mainevent05...damn, I didn't know the PS3 had all those extra bells and whistles. I don't keep up with the specs of some of these systems. Well..I see what you're saying. However, I think we can assume that 70% of games don't gave HDTV. So blu-ray player and HDMI cable isn't a factor. As for wireless adaptor...Unless you have wireless in your home or planning on taking your machine to the nearest Starbucks or Panera Bread..the wireless feature for both is useless. As for online play...well its cool that PS3 is free, but is it regulated. I've never played a PS3 so I've asked guys at video game stores about online on PS3 and they informed me that Xbox Live is more structured than PS3. I like structure not chaos. I'm a very picky person when it comes to games. I look at PS3's list of games and I shake my head. How can I justify spending 500.00 on a system that(to me)doesn't have a any games? From what I've been told by people...PS3 was banking on Metal Gear Solid 4 as their savior. I think its a shame to rely the sales of your system on one damn game.
