This week has already seen Microsoft’s Xbox Live and Nintendo’s Virtual Console take stock of a selection of new downloadable videogames, with the former nabbing Tempest and Sensible World of Soccer (which was temporarily pulled due to glitches), and the latter offering classics Cybernator, Alien Storm, and Monster Lair. But what of Sony and its burgeoning PlayStation Store?

Well, not to be outdone by its rivals, Sony has bolstered its online store with a pretty decent smattering of new content. Leading the way in this latest update is PSone classic Warhawk, which will set fans back a modest $5.99 USD, while free playable demos of Snakeball and BlackSite: Area 51 are also available for those looking to take titles for a test run.
Snakeball ($9.99) also joins the likes of Toy Home ($9.99), Trials of Topoq ($4.99), and Memerize: Distort ($1.99) in the downloadable arcade game section, while expansions and add-ons such as Warhawk: Operation Omega Dawn ($7.99), the Folklore Christmas Pack (free), and Guitar Hero III Holiday Single "We Three Kings" (free) are also now available.
And there’s more, with plenty of free game trailers opened for viewing. They include new footage for Gran Turismo 5: Prologue, Devil May Cry 4, and Warhawk Omega Dawn, and Turok.
