Sounds like you're just being controversial for the sake of it. How you can say the new trailer gives no new info is beyond me. You need to take a good long hard look at yourself and ask yourself why you're bad mouthing a fantastic trailer. The internet is buzzing because GTA never lets us down. What we see in the trailer is more of the characters interacting and it's all shot in an exciting way. What do you want a trailer to be? A slideshow with bullet points revealing everything about the game? I'd rather it was a teaser to whet the appetite. That's precisely what it is. I personally can't wait and I love the trailer.
Haha. This is funny. Your scheme worked - you're the only one with an article bad-mouthing GTA4, and it worked, it caught my eye!
Too bad you couldn't formulate something worth reading... try again though!
P.S. Comparing GTA4 to Manhunt was... a little dumb to say the least.
I'll be buying it, No matter What.
Nothing will ruin GTA except pricks with abnormally critical views on somthing they are yet to see with their own eyes.
But your entitled to your view and as such will respect your concerns about it being somewhat, the same old.....
You're *beep* nuts.I agree that the character models are a bit off,but graphics have never stopped GTA4 from being a bad game.Unlike Halo 3,in which nothing really changed since the original. Here we are seeing massive amounts of change from their last game.I belive this will easily be the best GTA since san andreas.
P.S. I agree with the first post by 'rocky' being more diplomatic than my own.
Granted, the latest trailer for Grand Theft Auto IV shouldn't be a bullet point list of features, but it would be nice to see something we can more readily associate with differing gameplay. Bouncy car physics and nice water effects are not sufficient.
We're all aware of the environmental scope delivered in the GTA series, we're all aware of the gritty storylines, we're all aware of the sociopathic violence, and we're all aware of the controversy that GTA IV's release will all-but guarantee (in turn guaranteeing its sales).
Regardless of its distant March release, it would have been more advantageous to all those beyond the blinkered fanatics if Rockstar and Take Two could have at least shown 'glimpses' of something, anything, new considering the 'countdown clock' hype that this trailer got.
I'm not taking a critical (not negative) standpoint just for the sake of it, but because I'm simply not impressed enough by what I've seen, and in this day and age, game creators need to work harder than merely reverting to type and resting on their laurels.
The only vaguely 'original' game Rockstar has created in the past few years was Table Tennis, which tanked and saw then quickly revert to type with Bully (or GTA-in-a-school) and Manhunt 2.
'Sounds like you're just being controversial for the sake of it...'
Just like Rockstar.
I sense this news report's negative approach towards the game and have little left to doubt in saying that whoever wrote this actually seems like he or she wants this VG to end badly.
After a bashful comment on PS3's performance, which I see no reasons for since it is superior to the Xbox360. Over and over again, this writer fails in seeing the point of this game. Maybe this hatred comes from a hardcore '360 fan that fears his 'best game ever' will be over thrown by yet another game (Assassin's Creed, anyone?).
The players that appreciate GTA have one thing in common, they hate seeing their games end. I for one, played GTA long after missions were over, exploring finding secret stuff and ocasionally creating chaos and destruction. Maybe it is because I have a big kid in me, but I am glad its so because life is so full of stuff that are waiting to be discovered and never does one experiment, discover and make life more interesting than when one is young.
It is as if this writer fails to see that every installment of the series, there are improvements made. Even though the basic principles of the game are the same each time there's always other different things to do. It is hard to explain, perhaps those that get bored of GTA have problems being content with anything. Perhaps they are the type of people, no offense, that get bored of life very quickly.
GTA evolves, if people are just too damn stubborn, proud, or too damn anxious or impacient then they shouldn't play it. I, at my hearts content have enjoyed every single edition and have always wanted more, appreciating every evolution and having a hell of a time doing stuff you cant do in reality. And in comparison to other games, there has never ever been any other game that has given me longer satisfaction in the time I have spent playing and the fun a have had playing GTA.
This is stupid article but one wich caught my eye..for the wrong reasons. GTA will always be oe of the best games around for its sheer freedom of gameplay. Garphics could be better but gameplay sells te game, ill be buying it and im sure millions others will too.
Well all i can say u are extremely wrong...hope u don't get this game cause people like you don't deserve such a amazing game...I won't ever get tried of GTA...Rock* keep em coming

Well I can't definitely understand where you're coming from but I feel you have nothing to worry about. If this game is just a formula to you, I don't think you can call yourself a fan. What keeps a GTA player or any other player coming back is not the graphics of the GTA title. The depth in details in every other facet of the game does this just fine. Every GTA R* puts out offers commentary on the era it is set in. This game is set in the year 2008 and I am very excited to see what is in store for our current era and the hilarity that R* is bound to bring. The soundtrack is another factor that always draws the player into the game and giving it life.
If you don't think this game is groundbreaking in terms of being unique from its predecessors...you aren't looking closly.
I hope you take all this information into consideration and perhaps even
write another article when you understand this better.
By the way, here is a brief list of what is brand new for the series...
The May 2007 issue of Game Informer reveals that after the initial load sequence, no such occurrences persist when entering/exiting buildings or crossing islands. The extent of the loadtime-free expectation in the game has also been commented on, when a Rockstar spokesperson claimed: 'You can basically play the game from beginning to end without a single load screen.'
The player will not be able to fly aeroplanes[17], unlike some previous instalments of the Grand Theft Auto series. Helicopters, however, will be flyable onto any building rooftop. There is also a confirmed airport.[16]
Details are also revealed that demonstrate how variations in the terrain cause the way the character walks to change. The way the player moves is controlled by a physics engine instead of purely pre-written animations, therefore enabling character movements to be more realistic. Rockstar Games announced that Euphoria by NaturalMotion would be used in future Rockstar titles in a press release that accompanied the second trailer, confirming that Euphoria would indeed be used in the game.[18]
The player will also be able to perform a variety of new actions such as climbing telephone poles and fire escapes, pushing people who bump into him and calling women for dates.[19] When selecting the mobile phone, a zoomed-in version of the mobile screen pops up in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen and a list of several commands are made available to the player, such as 'meet me here,' etc.
Bellic’s outfit can be changed throughout the game; however, it will not be possible to customize his physique or hairstyle as in San Andreas.[7]
Stealing a parked car can no longer be done simply by opening the door and driving off. Now it involves Niko approaching the car unnoticed, breaking the glass with his elbow, before hot-wiring it - only then can he use it. Also, there will be several animation variations to sneaking up to a car and breaking it. The way Niko enters the car would look different each time depending where and how he is in relation to the car. Because of the NaturalMotion system used in the game, the way the character will approach the car will be completely random. The trunks of cars will also be utilised by the player, though specific details are unknown. Furthermore, players will be able to choose from four different camera views whilst in a car according to their needs. The player will also be able to control vehicles such as boats and helicopters.[19]
The Police AI and star wanted levels now operate differently. When the police are in search of Niko, the player will now have to avoid a certain radius marked on the map in which the police will be looking for him. The size of this radius will increase with the player's wanted level (the more stars, the bigger the radius) and also re-centres itself on Niko's location if he is spotted by the police. Instead of utilising the 'Pay'N'Spray' as in previous games, Niko can now more realistically disguise himself by clandestinely changing vehicles in empty areas such as parking garages, a feature seen in the video game Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven. Additionally, pedestrians can now report crimes such as car-jacking.
The gunfight system has been reworked to feel natural by utilising a cover system similar to that of Gears of War and Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, reason being that the combat system in previous games were awkward and cumbersome.
It has been revealed that every street in the game will have a name for the reason that some missions will require the player to go to a specific address.
In addition to the mobile phone, Rockstar has revealed that the player will also make use of the Internet as a means of communication. Although the exact details of the role of the Internet in the game are being kept under wraps, it has been revealed in a GamesTM Magazine article that Niko can access the web from various cybercafes (one of which is called 'TW@') in order to upload his resume for prospective employers
[edit] Multiplayer
Multiplayer in the game has been confirmed. However, it will not be an MMO, as Houser had previously suggested when citing Everquest as a source of inspiration.[citation needed] Multiplayer will be accessible from Niko's mobile phone[24] and will allow up to 16 players, with a possibility of open-ended gameplay and exploring the whole city.
