World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King unveiled
By Hector Cortez Aug 3, 2007, 21:40 GMT

Blizzard has revealed the latest WoW expansion, Wrath of the Lich King.
Blizzard dropped a huge announcement on the BlizzCon audience today with the unveiling of World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King, which will open the forbidding wasteland of Northrend to exploration. New levels of power, new dungeons and encounters, new character profession, and the game’s first hero class are some of the new features in Wrath of the Lich King.
“This expansion will add some of the most infamous characters and settings from the Warcraft universe to World of Warcraft,” said Mike Morhaime, Blizzard Entertainment. “In addition to new story content, Wrath of the Lich King will introduce a number of features specifically requested by players over the past couple of years. We’re looking forward to sharing further details with everyone as development progresses.”
Players last visited Northrend in Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne, when Arthas Menethil fused with the spirit of Ner’zhul to become the Lich King, one of the most powerful beings in the Warcraft universe. He now broods atop the Frozen Throne deep in Icecrown Citadel, clutching the rune blade Frostmourne and marshaling the undead armies of the Scourge. In Wrath of the Lich King, the forces of the Alliance and the Horde will venture into battle against the Scourge amid Northrend’s howling winds and fields of jagged ice.
Building on the foundation established in World of Warcraft and The Burning Crusade, Wrath of the Lich King will add a rich variety of content to an already massive game. New features coming with the game’s second expansion include:
Death Knight Hero Class: Create a high-level Death Knight character - the game’s first hero class - once certain challenges have been met.
Increased Level Cap: Advance to level 80 and gain potent new talents and abilities along the way.
Northrend: Explore the new continent of Northrend, with new zones, quests, dungeons, monsters, and items - and do battle with the undead armies of the Lich King.
“Inscription” Profession: Learn this new profession and gain unique ways to permanently enhance spells and abilities in the game.
Siege Weapons and Destructible Buildings: Take the battle to another level with new player-vs.-player game mechanics and new battlefields to wage war on.
New Character Customization: Change how characters look and express themselves, with different hairstyles and dance animations.

No content for lvls under 68, the little guy with a job and life get screwed again, no thanks.
And millions of 300-pound fortysomethings living in their mom's basement rejoice.
u say it will be hard to lvl from 70 to 80 well think about it heroic run at all rested ... and the quest that will give like 20k exp ( all new lol swiming mount)
Dudes: AOE Farm with your frost mage with your raiding char/main sitting watching on your second account/pc. 70-80 will take 7 days muhahaha. OMGWTFFACEMELTPWN.
Once again, blizzard screws over fans who actually like their games. It's not even worth playing anymore. I mean to get something decent you have to sit on your ass all day and dedicate your life to WoW. Blizz needs to make it possible to be good without having to be a social outcast as well as a fat loser living in his parents basement.
Ahmen, I've played im my pass time just to fill the gap between school, pratice, and work (mind you that is a long time) and I still havent gotten anywhere with lvling and gear ....
hi evrebody i like this game too much but probaly that guy is right. We can sit all day near wow but if you go to school you only get and told to parents that you get 1.I played wow near 5months and only grade what i have is 1or 2 but i ussualy have 3,4,or 5.So Kids dont sit your fat ass all time near wow.You Might with years become crazy.
lolol wow thats funny because i go to school from 3 to 2:30 work from 3 to 6 then raid from 6 to 11 and im in BT and thats on the weekdays, party and get fucked up and have sexy time with women on the weekend so gg!!! lol
woops, go to school from 7 to 2:30 lol
This game doesn't make you sit on your butt all day. If you can sit in front of the computer for that long and not lvl then you shouldn't be playing wow. I played for 2 hours yesterday and went up 3/4 of they way to 68. If you aren't lvling when you are playing then YOU AREN'T PLAYING THE GAME!
so what do you have to say about that huh......yes i play the game and i love it......it gives me a way to interact with people i would never meat in my life.......No matter how old you are(like i am a kid) You can always have fun and interact with older people. With this game i am friends with people who are married and such and i am not even 18....... That is one reason why i love this game :)
i think that the wrath of the lich will be completly awesome
seing as how i have 4 lvl 70s without cheating or anything but
i also have a lvl 25 human warrior named snowmagic
ENJOY THE NEW EXPANSION !!!
