EA pledges MAC OS X support
By Hector Cortez Jun 12, 2007, 20:28 GMT

EA will release six games for the MAC platform this year, including Madden NFL 08.
Electronic Arts has found another revenue stream in Apple's MAC OS X platform, filling a gaming void that many have had to endure.
This summer, six of EA's franchises will make their MAC debut. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Madden NFL 08, Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 08, Need for Speed Carbon, Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars and Battlefield 2142.
The game will be developed by TransGaming, a Canadian-based software portability company.
Helping quench Mac gamers’ thirst is Cider, TransGaming's technology that enables the releases without the need to rewrite a video game for the Mac.
MAC fans rejoice, your time has come. Now its only a matter of time before other publishers sign on. And yes, we know some publishers already support MAC but not as aggresively as EA, especially with Madden 08 and Tiger Woods 08, both of which will be released on the same day as the PC and console versions.
