Return to the world of Deus Ex in the upcoming Deus Ex 3.

Return to the world of Deus Ex in the upcoming Deus Ex 3.

During a recent interview on MusiquePlus, a French-language TV station, Patrick Melchior, director of Eidos France, revealed that a new Deus Ex game is in development.

The game is being handled by Eidos' new Montreal studio, currently employing about 40 people.

Deus Ex, an action RPG, first debuted in 2000. The sequel, Deus Ex: Invisible War, arrived in 2003.

No word on the involvement, if any, of Warren Spector, the game's creator.

I CANT BELIEVE EVERYONE IS SAYING SUCH BAD THINGS ABOUT DEUS EX 2 IN TRUTH PEOPLE HONESTLY SHOULD OF BEEN GRATEFUL THAT PART 2 WAS EVEN CONCEIVED AND NOW A REALLY IMPRESSIVE NEWS OF PART THREE MAKES ME HAPPY. I FIND EVERYONES UTTERING SO FILTHY AND WISH THAT MORE PEOPLE WERE TO GIVE GAMES A REAL CHANCE. I WAS AT FIRST FREAKED OUT AT PART 2 BUT LATER ON LAST YEAR I GOT THE CHANCE AND MADE A VERY GOOD FEEL TO THE GAME. PATIENT IS NOT REALLY A PART OF OUR SOCEITY. THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THIS NEWS SOME PEOPLE WHO ARE AS OPEN MINDED AS I AM WILL BE HAPPY.

Caps makes it sound as if you're constantly shouting. I also wanted to give Deus Ex IW a chance, having absolutely adored the original. I guess my expectations were too high, as it seemed as if everything I loved about Deus Ex was removed, such as the ability to pull a gun out at any time (ie, clubs). There weren't any really large open ended environments, I believe that it was too futuristic, it was too narrow, not sprawling enough. Remember in the Streets in Deus Ex when you realized that you could go under ground past all of those traps to get to a secret house, with a mirror you could smash to get to all the ammo? That's what I mean by open ended. Oh, don't forget jumping out of the sky scraper windows, along some banners and into a secret apartment that 99/100 people playing the game would have missed. The music wasn't up to the original, it didn't go into any new territory, it allowed you to kill any one and make your allegiances, at the expense of the story. It was DULL. I'm pleased that you enjoyed it but in my opinion it would have been better if it hadn't been made at all, or at least if it were to be called something other than Deux Ex. I have high hopes for the 'third' Deus Ex. I hope that the game is just as interesting, varied, dark and adult as the original. With such a long development time, hopefully it will be. Please, MAKE THIS GAME GOOD!

to me.. both games were brilliant and addictive games im constantly completing the first one over and over and i never get bored... i had the second one for a while but how come it wasnt on the same console?? i enjoyed it just as much though i mean the ammo thing anoyed me a little... i just hope the third one isn't all one ammo. what made me love them is the way that everything and anything you do effects the rest of the game... and theres so many other ways of doing something in the second one... i love the way you can upgrade weapons to make them do different things than in the first.. e.g. the window evaporation thing is brilliant and is usefull for droping through the window at the emerald hotel place... onto the guy you might be asked to kill that has a body guard then use the the invisablity to drop down
its a brilliant game and im excited that theres a 3rd upcoming game.. i wanna hear more asap. thanks to the creators :-)

wow i check back now and i see sensitivity, i am not going to blame anyone who wrote back heck you maybe as senstive as i am. SERIOUSLY though in person if i talked my opnion anymore people just get into theirs and dont even let me finish mine or give mine a single ounce of a chance so seriously this is the only way to get across my whole opnion without someone stopping me in the middle of my speech. Come talk to me in person, live in hawaiian gardens, ca i bet you will stop me in the middle of my speech. But we all have to stand up and do what we all believe in so thats i wrote it in capitals. so someone will actually read my opnion because they wont listen and wait for my opnion and be patient.
thanks for your thanks though
have good lives you two and thanks for reading
