Turbine and Midway Games today announced the details of the "Founder’s Program" for The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar. This massively multiplayer online game based on J.R.R. Tolkien's fantasy novels lets players from around the globe experience the vast world of Middle-earth.
Pre-orders for Lord Of The Rings: Shadows of Angmar will include special monthly pricing options, guaranteed access to the open beta, character roll-over, and two special bonus items.
The Founder’s Program rewards all players who pre-order The Lord of the Rings Online with special $9.99 monthly subscription pricing, early access to the game in the form of an open beta, character roll-over (from the beta) and unique in-game bonus items. Players can become a Founder by pre-ordering the title online or at retail stores beginning on February 1, 2007.
Two pricing options are available for Founders, a $9.99 per month subscription or a $199 lifetime membership. While many MMORPG's offer bonuses for those players who pre-order the games, a lifetime membership option is rarely offered. Founders will also have access to two bonus items: Enchanted Cloak of Regeneration and Ring of Agility.
Pre-orders will be accepted beggining on February 1st, and the open beta is set to commence on March 30th. The game is priced at an MSRP of $49.99, and the commercial launch is set for April 24th. Head over to the official site or our info page for more details.
