Brando's Voice from the Grave in EA's Godfather
By James Wray Feb 1, 2005, 23:17 GMT
James Caan, Robert Duvall and the late Marlon Brando will all appear in voice and likeness in Electronic Arts' forthcoming "Godfather" video game.
The Hollywood Reporter says Caan returns as Sonny Corleone and Duvall as consigliere Tom Hagen. It seems Brando had already setup his appearance and recorded voice-overs for the game before his death.
The soundtrack from the movie will also make an appearance in the game.
The company are talking up not only the film license but also its first game aimed at an older audience, though in our opinion game age restrictions are meaningless in the market place, with them seldom being enforced. Indeed a mature rating almost is almost more appealing for younger buyers.
The game itself will feature open style game play ala "Grand Theft Auto" with players having to rise through the hierarchy of the Corleone family.
