Rayman Origins is now available across North America for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii.
Ubisoft today announced that Rayman Origins has shipped and is now available in retail stores across North America for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii.
Michel Ancel, creator of Rayman, returns to his roots to bring us Rayman Origins: a high-definition 2D side-scrolling platform adventure with four-player co-op.
Rayman Origins brings back many of the classic characters from the original game along with a whole new world of 100 characters across 12 environments broken up into 60 levels. Along the way you'll unlock new abilities, paths and secrets.
The four-player jump in/out co-op mode option allows you to play as Rayman in the solo campaign or have up to three friends jump in at any time to play as Globox or as one of two Teensies. Players can leave at any time without affecting the others’ progression.
Rayman Origins is a platformer at its core, but has elements of many genres. Rayman, Globox and the Teensies gain unique abilities as they progress through the adventure, including swimming, diving and the "HairlyCopter." The game also features elements of action, adventure and beat-’em-up gameplay.
Lastly, the game features epic boss battles including a giant pink monster with hundreds of eyes, a possessed golem, and an evil carnivorous plant.
