'Jetpack Joyride' blasts its way onto iPhone, iPad

Jetpack Joyride is now available for iPhone and iPad for only $0.99

Developer Halfbrick, of Fruit Ninja fame, has released Jetpack Joyride featuring Barry Steakfries, who appeared in previous Halfbrick mobile games, Age of Zombies and Monster Dash. The game is now available for iPhone and iPad for $0.99 from the App Store, and has been selected by Apple as the official iPhone Game of the Week.

Down on his luck, Barry ends up inside a secret laboratory filled with jetpacks and obstacles where he must commandeer the technology and escape the maximum-security lab. Players will dodge obstacles, collect coins and pilot vehicles in pursuit of the high score, tracked on global online leaderboards. Players can also customize and upgrade Barry and his gear with coin magnets, score boosting bombs, a zombie head and body, and much more.
