Disney Interactive Studios and TT Games today announced LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game for the Wii, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PSP, DS, and Windows PC, scheduled for simultaneous release with the new film “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” in May 2011.

LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game will be based in the world of the film franchise, incorporating storylines, locations and characters from the first three films as well as the upcoming "On Stranger Tides."

Players can take on the roles of more than 70 characters across more than 20 levels in single-player or two-player cooperative mode, in either Story mode or Freeplay mode, which lets players return to levels to discover new items.
