Secret of Mana was originally released in Japan in 1993 for the SNES.
Square Enix today announced that Secret of Mana is now available for iPhone and iPod Touch on the iTunes App Store worldwide.
Originally released in Japan in 1993 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES), Secret of Mana received praise for its real-time battle system and impressive visuals. In it, you'll play as Randi and his two companions Primm and Popoi as they battle the empire in its quest to control the power of Mana with the help of the eight elementals who wield the forces of nature itself.
In the iPhone/iPod Touch version of Secret of Mana, the original creators have implemented a simple control scheme that utilizes the touch screen, allowing for smooth "Motion Battle" gameplay. Additionally, users will be able to intuitively control the "Ring Command" menu system, which was first introduced in Secret of Mana and has since appeared frequently in the series.
