Activision announced today that the highly anticipated Call of Duty: Black Ops is now available at retail stores worldwide for Xbox 360, PS3, Windows PC, Wii and DS.
Call of Duty: Black Ops takes online gameplay to a new level with an all-new in-game currency system, new Wager Match gameplay modes, Theater video recording capabilities to capture favorite gameplay moments, Combat Training and more.
Also, for the first time in the series' history, Call of Duty: Black supports stereoscopic 3D via active shutter 3D glasses. The Windows PC version is NVIDIA 3D Vision-Ready and supports stereoscopic 3D gaming using 3D Vision active-shutter glasses and NVIDIA GeForce GPUs.
Call of Duty: Black Ops launched in a record-setting number of midnight openings worldwide, as thousands of retail outlets opened their doors when the clock struck twelve to sell the first copies to eager gamers waiting in line.
Call of Duty: Black Ops also broke pre-order records. "We set a new record with reservations on Call of Duty: Black Ops with more than any other title in GameStop's history," stated GameStop senior vice president of merchandising, Bob McKenzie.
