MTV's Multiplayer Blog reports that Activision Blizzard today confirmed that the company will release new games in the Guitar Hero, Tony Hawk, and Call of Duty franchises. Along with sequels, the company also revealed that they are working on a new James Bond racing game along with an original IP described as "Mario Kart meets Forza" -- both developed by Bizarre Creations.

The announcement was made during the Massive Inc. upfronts where publishers showcase their games to potential advertisers. In-game ads is a booming business and Massive Inc. is a leader in the field.
The new Guitar Hero is simple titled, tentatively, "Guitar Hero 5," while the new Call of Duty game will be a sequal to Call of Duty 4, titled "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2," scheduled for release in Fall 2009. No title was revealed for the new Tony Hawk game, however, the following was mentioned in regards to what the game will bring to the table in order to compete against EA's skate: "You’re not going to be playing this game with a controller in your hands.” The new Tony Hawk game is scheduled for release on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii and DS in October, 2009.
