Real world instruments included in ROCK BAND 2

Harmonix and MTV Games announced today a the lineup of musical instrument manufacturers whose products appear in Rock Band 2. Joining the list of in-game instruments from the original Rock Band, will be real world microphones, new guitars and drumsets from some of the music industry’s best.

What does this mean?? I didn't see any mention of Ion (who is said to produce a drum kit that can be used in the game). Does that mean the Ion kit is only second-rate now?
