Emily Blunt and Jason Segel are in talks with Twentieth Century Fox to join Jack Black in director Rob Letterman’s reimaging of the classic Jonathan Swift story “Gulliver’s Travels.”
Variety reports the film is produced by John Davis and Ben Cooley.
Blunt has an option with Fox from when she appeared in “The Devil Wears Prada” which the studio may use to have the actress sign for “Gulliver’s Travel” rather than taking on the part of the Black Widow for “Iron Man 2.”
The actress’ reps are reportedly working on a schedule that would allow Blunt to appear in both films. “Gulliver’s Travels” is scheduled to start shooting in the U.K. in March with “Iron Man 2” scheduled to start shooting in Manhattan Beach, Calif., in April
The film would see Segel reteaming with “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” director Nicholas Stoller – who wrote the screenplay for “Gulliver’s Travels” with Joe Stillman. The actor currently appears on the hit CBS sitcom “How I Met Your Mother,” and is scheduled to lend his voice to “Despicable Me” along with Steve Carell, Julie Andrews and Will Arnett.Note the date on this article may be incorrect due to importing it from our old system.
