Disney’s Pooh’s Heffalump Movie captures all the charm and heart that has made the bear and his friends a hit with kids and adults since the first cartoon made its way to theaters in 1977.
The new movie features Pooh, Tigger, Rabbit, Eeyore, and Piglet on the hunt through the Hundred Acre Woods for the dreaded and feared Heffalump.
When it is decided that Roo is too small and too young to join the group on the hunt, he sets off the find the creature on his own and prove to the others that he is just as brave.
Roo soon finds that the Heffalump, named Lumpy, is not deadly or scary at all. Instead, Lumpy is just like Roo and looking for someone to be his friend and to play with him. Roo wonders just why the others are so afraid of Lumpy and also why Lumpy is so afraid of them.
He quickly decides to solve the problem and soon, in true Disney fashion, Pooh and company discover the truth about Heffalumps. They aren’t scare and they love to play.
Pooh’s Heffalump Movie has all the qualities that we have come to expect from a Disney film. It has some really great music, such as when Kanga sings Roo a lullaby, and some fantastic animation.
It is also filled with the classic funny moments that have defined the characters for so long – like when Pooh happily falls face first into a jar of his beloved honey.

The movie also has important messages for kids that are added into the film through the story. While enjoying the movie, kids learn the importance of not judging others before getting to know them and how important it is to learn from different people. These are classic lessons for children, but can never be taught too many times.
The DVD comes loaded with special features for children to enjoy including Music Time: Disney Song Selection, Game Time: Hide and Seek with Roo and Lumpy, Backstage Disney: Welcome to the Family, Lumpy, and an Internet link to printable coloring pages and Rumpledoodle recipe.
The Music Time: Disney Song Selection features “The Horribly Hazardous Heffalumps!,” “Little Mr. Roo,” “The Name Game,” “Shoulder to Shoulder,” and “In the Name of the Hundred Acre Wood – What Do You Do.”

They explain what a Heffalump is and what they look like. They also interview the characters from the movie. It is an interesting way to do a making of feature.
Overall, Pooh’s Heffalump Movie delivers all the charm, music and animation needed for a Disney classic. It is a fun movie for kids and adults. I recommend it to any parent who is looking for a good movie to watch with their kids or any Disney collector.
