Welcome to 'The Simple Life 2 Road Trip'. Paris Hilton and Nicole Ritchie are reunited from the first series and foul mouth their way from Miami to L.A. accompanied by their pampered canines and as little clothing as possible. This latest edition of their ‘un-reality’ show has them devoid of cash, mobile phones, credit cards, and begging and stealing their way across the 3,000-mile journey from family to family from job to job.
In between bouts of “That’s Hot” and “Do you Love it ?” the pair travel to a family, work for a day or two to earn their cash and then continue on. All 10 of the 20 minute episodes follow a similar line; they have no cash, they make their way to the family of the day, get acquainted, go to their new job, muck it up in a couldn’t care less bad rich girl way, and then move on to the next episode.

There are two ways to take this. Paris and Nicole can be pretty funny some of the time in their brattish sort of way, and the fish out of water type of thing as they go across Middle America does have its comedic moments. The other way is to see this as a condescending mockery of those less fortunate than the two on show. The whole thing depends on your point of view here.
Like most reality, unreality or mock-mentary shows, this is addictive, although it might be for the wrong reasons and you might want to have a shower afterwards. It is well produced and the first series became very popular. Look on the bright side; at 20 minutes an episode it can be viewed as a guilty pleasure, but should it ?
