By June L. Sep 8, 2011, 15:36 GMT

TV\'s funniest mom (and the cul-de-sac crew) return for more laughs in their not so-quiet Florida neighborhood. Courteney Cox leads an all-star cast in the hilarious second season of ABC\'s hot hit comedy, "Cougar Town". It\'s a new year of uproarious changes as Travis prepares to leave for college, Jules and Grayson\'s relationship reaches another level and Bobby tries to stand on his own. Meanwhile, Andy and Ellie find clever ...more
From the ongoing joke of the series title’s unsuitability, (which is each week illuminated by a snide subtitle), to a grand season finale in Hawaii, Cougar Town is consistently engaging and funny.
Exploring the quirks of relationships, the series gives insight into the actions of mature adults.
It goes to show that age doesn’t always bring answers and we continue to struggle all our lives to make sense of emotions and experiences.
Jules Cobb (Courtney Cox) is facing some important changes in her life. Her son Travis (Dan Byrd) is entering college, and she is in a growing relationship with Grayson Ellis (Josh Hopkins). To complicate matters her husband Bobby (Brian Van Holt) is still around and is dependent on Jules both emotionally and financially.
In season two, Bobby has a glimmer of awareness that will cause him to try to become self-sufficient. Neighbors Andy (Ian Gomez) and Ellie (Christa Miller) have their own problems, and somehow Jules seems to get involved.
Even her business associate is not immune to Jules’s schemes and plans. Laurie (Busy Phillips) has her own ideas, but Jules steps in. It is a grand mix of offbeat personalities and life stories that are endlessly amusing and timely.
Cougar Town: The Complete Second Season DVD is presented on three discs in a plastic case. The cover for the case is illustrated with stills from the season and has program titles. Special features for the set include deleted scenes and outtakes.
There is a featurette “(still called) Cougar Town Season 2” with interviews of cast and crew charting the progression of the show through two seasons. In addition there are webisodes “Andy’s Dreams” introduced by Ian Gomez.
This is a great set for fans, and for those that appreciate ensemble comedies.
