i love the movie but the picture quality is not the least bit impressive.i don't see why this blu-ray movie could get such a high score for picture quality.it looks the same as a regular DVD.

Hi Mack, well, this always seems to be a point of contention for older pics getting a high-def release but you always have to consider the age and source material and judge based on that. As a low-budget pic from 1989, the high-def quality will never be comparable to a new release but compared to the older Universal and Criterion DVDs (which I have and did a side by side with...) it's definitely a step up.
