When we left the Walker Family at the end of Season One, there were many things up in the air. As Season Two begins, with Kitty’s (Calista Flockhart) birthday celebration, the audience catches up with the action and quite a bit of strife. It may be a tough year for the Walkers.
Justin has been deployed to Iraq and Nora (Sally Field) is angry with Kitty because she won’t use her influence with Robert (Rob Lowe) to either find out where he is, or get him sent home.
Sarah (Rachel Griffiths) mistakes sex with Joe (John Pyper-Ferguson) as reconciliation when what he really wants is a divorce. Kevin (Matthew Rhys) is finding it difficult to remain faithful to Jason (Eric Winter) as he hasn’t heard from him for awhile, and Tommy (Balthazar Getty) and Julia (Sarah Jane Morris) are trying to work out the grief over losing one of the twins.
Rebecca (Emily VanCamp) has spent the summer with Nora, and this has caused a rift in her relationship with her mother Holly (Patricia Wettig) as well as some jealousy from Kitty. Sounds like a typical family!
In Season Two, Kitty and Robert will marry and Nora will find some unexpected chances at romance. Holly may be the savior of Ojai foods, and Sarah may just get her confidence restored after battling Joe in a nasty custody fight. Justin has his own battles with drug addiction and post traumatic stress from his tour of duty, and Saul has a bombshell revelation that will surprise the family.
Kevin and Jason will have a confrontation and Scotty is just waiting in the wings for the dust to settle. All in all, this year with the Walkers, though short in episodes is rich in action and story.
Brothers and Sisters The Complete Second Season is presented in a folder box containing 4 discs with all the episodes and a fifth disc of specials and bonus features. The episodes are presented in widescreen format with a running time of 671 minutes. French or Spanish subtitles are available.
A packet of Nora Walker’s favorite recipes is included in the box, and on the back is printed the episode guide for the season. The recipes are good ones too!
Special Features include deleted scenes and commentaries for selected episodes, and bloopers and outtakes that are very funny. There is a guest book, and a featurette called “TV Dinners: Food from Season 2” and a production featurette “Open House – Designing the Brothers & Sisters Set.”
Fans of the show will be delighted with the wealth of extras to go along with their favorite series. For those who have never met the Walkers, this is a great chance to get acquainted.
Brothers and Sisters - The Complete Second Season is now available at Amazon . As of yet, there is not a release date for the UK. Visit the DVD database for more information.
